The Bangladeshi taka eased on Tuesday as dealers sought dollars to pay for imports after a two-day market holiday, dealers said. The taka was quoted at 63.15/63.65 per dollar, compared with 63.15/63.60 on Saturday. The market was closed on Sunday, a work day in Bangladesh, and on Monday. "Dealers were ready to pay any amount to settle import bills as there was pending pressure following the market closure," one dealer with a private bank said.
Call money traded between 3.5 percent and 8.0 percent, compared with 5.0 percent and 8.0 percent on Saturday.
